I had been searching for the right truck for about 5 months. Last week I was ready to drive 3 hours away and pull the trigger on a 2012 white Raptor, when I found my black 2012 for a great price 6 hours away in Bozeman, MT.
Made the deal over the phone on Friday. My daughter and I rented a car and drove like crazy to make it there shortly before the dealership closed. Everything checked out, I signed some paperwork, and we drove back home on Saturday through some of the most beautiful country in one helluva nice truck!
So far, I've gotten the trans and coolant flushed, ordered a bunch of stuff for it, and preemptively spent my next paycheck or two... Haha.
My wife and daughter love it almost as much as I do... I've had to take my daughter to school every day this week in it.
I plan to really stretch the legs this weekend off road.
