I recently traded in my Gen 1 for a Gen 2 but took my methods and old tires as part of my trade. I now need new tires -have been running BFGs the last two tire changes in the stock size-last time wer KO2s.
I think they have been ok-lots of weight to balance, not great in the rain but otherwise don't have a lot of complaints. truck gets about 18k a year in miles, daily driver, snow, off road on sand no mud. 5% fun driving off road. On road performance in rain, snow is important. Grip in bad weather is more important than miles to me-IE rather get 35k out of a tire with great grip vs 45 and be feeling less planted when the weather is bad.
I need new tires and will be installing 1.5" ish collars in front and am thinking about the following tires
BFG-315s
Goodyear Duratrac 35x12.5 r 17 (.4" bigger than stock)
Nitto Ridge Grappler 315s to save weight vs 35s
Falken Wildpeak AT-On the list but unlikely at this point
Would love some guidance from others on stay with the BFGs or should I make a change....
Thanks
