I would say go with a custom box from your local audio shop. They will probably mold a fiberglass box for the entire back. Another option would be to use the JL Audio or MTX stealth subs. I have had both for my FX4 in the past and I will say that the JL 10" hits so hard that it made it hard to breathe(with the right amp).

If you are really looking for a hard hitting sub and want that 12" sound, you can do something a little crazy: If you have a cover over your bed or a camper top, you can cut out the metal between your bed and the interior of the truck, put a dual 12" bandpass box in, and your the right weather stipping that will allow for flexing. I haven't done that type of install, but I have seen a couple trucks that have it and it sounded insane.

Alpine has some decent 10" shallows that will handle up to 1800watts....and they're under $300 apiece.

I think the best course of action is figure out your mounting depth first, THEN see whats out there that can fit in that space.
