Sharp looking black, womder what the black would like with the front skid plate plastidipped black (or painted, powdercoated, etc)...

On both my 2017 and 2020 I painted the skid plates matte magnetic to match the bumper.

Looks great, did you paint it yourself? What kind of paint and what prep was required? Thinking of doing it to my Rudy Red, my thought on Plastidip is that if (when) I scratch it, just a quick touch up and it would be good to go again.

I had a local part store mix the paint, magnetic J7. I removed the skid plate and removed the access panel from the skid plate.Then I taped off the bumper and covered the whole truck with 10x12 sheets of plastic to keep overspray off the truck. I just cleaned it and scuffed it and sprayed it with my spray gun. It was single stage paint so it was supposed to have clear in it, but when I sprayed it it went on kind of dry and not glossy so it ended up matching pretty good. I also poked a bunch of holes in a piece of cardboard and stuck the bolts in the holes and painted the bolt heads.
