Would the truck be upset if you used one of the aux switch +12V wires to tap into the white light feature? I presume both the DD C1R lights and the factory tail light reverse bulbs would illuminate, but perhaps the truck wouldn't like backfeeding into the circuit this way?

So we looked at doing that too at some point.

Our other tail light adapters all have built in diodes to black backflow like that.
Since these were direct only, we didn't incorporate that into them directly.

The other difference with our standard tail light adapter is, it is for one side.
Since there are turn signals involved here, you definitely need 2 sides.

That said, we are looking at releasing at some point, a single wire long harness that comes from the front, and runs to the back. It would t off to the other side and have a diode built in between the connectors.

So that add on will be available potentially in the future for anyone interested. It would be nice to get a poll to know how many are interested in that.

I would be interested in some back up lights like these that come on when backing up but without the other lights. I like the idea of these but don’t care for the lights being incorporated into the other lights. I guess I simply want some back up lights like these.

So you just don't want the turn signals and brakes, and running lights?

These are actually the ONLY ones that are unique like that. We have several with our short rear harness with automatic white backup lights.

Or you can do the standard SC1 Diode lights that look like the ones in this thread, but only have the one red running/white reverse lights. No Turns or Brakes.

Hep those kits above are what I would be looking for. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on my options as spring time rolls around. Too dang cold right now to be doing these kinds of installs!
