Badges can in some instances help the garage queens with resale. That's about the only reason I could ever see adding badges... To each their own...

I'm told in the neighborhood of 17k for the power package only. I just got a ride in this while checking out Shelby American today. Very cool of them to pull the truck out today!

45k! Are you kidding? Wow! that is just paying for some ******** name. I have all the same bolt ons, or better! 15-17k is about right for the power package including installation. You are paying 30k for stickers, embroidery, and badges. No wonder they are only going to make 50 of them! There cant be more than 50 idiots out there who would pay that kind of money for this joke! A fool and their money soon depart.

It also includes one hell of a suspension package from Rogue. The complete Stage 4 that has the biggest chunk of that cost. That is your extra $30k. I am pretty sure a Shelby will have a better resale than Roush. For what you are getting the price is more than fair especially if you ever seen Rogue suspension in person, it's impressive to say the least.

I'd rather have the SVC Podium package for $14k (plus labor) over that Rogue setup.

not me i'll take that Rouge Racing set up all day every day and twice on sunday! Best ride out there in my opinion based on driving or riding in the other systems out there. The Shelby truck is a true beast and yes we all can build one better and cheaper, but.... there is no comparison on which one will hold its value the longest. When it comes time to sell your truck all the mods you did will be worth .20 on the dollar, and the Shelby will see a way better return on investment.

RDFTS,

Ok that makes sense. Must have missed that in the article. Still seems pricey.

jlatigo,

Sure the brand name will be better for resale, but just like any after market stuff, your lucky to get .40 on the dollar anyway. And I am sure it is better quality, but I didn't buy this truck to sell, and I am sure most other didn't either. Especially when you add all the after market stuff. Your much better off keeping it and enjoying it. Regardless, 45k mark up on at 55k truck is somewhat ridiculous. I bet you could do 90% of that stuff just as well for 23k without all the names and foo-foo crap they put on there. Hell you could buy a 2 year old raptor for that price and have one for the street and one for the dirt. Seems excessive.

Oh well, as usual, I'll just have to stick with my almost stock Raptor. It will still get me to my back country hunting and fishing spots and back, just as fast. (with maybe a new gun or two with the money I've saved) :ROFLJest:

It is all in the point of view. To a regular F150 guy, he would say you paid how much for a badge on the truck that says Raptor. I would not look down on anyone who bought one of the Shelby packages for their truck. if that is what they want, and they can afford it, go for it. You can't please everyone, so that is why you have different vendors for you to purchase from. Just my 2 cents.

Hey, I 100% agree, if you can afford it, I'm not gonna be the one stopping you. I'll still laugh every time I see you in it though.
