Two turbos of v6 is a lot faster than the previous Generation or Gen 1 as you call them. I have been in both and lived with both and know the v6, while sounding like a pissed off bubble bee, makes more power and is easier to live with everyday than the old v8 Gen 1. Buy whatever makes you happy the SCA Black Widow conversions are awesome trucks as well. Whatever floats your boat.

The Gen 1 though is crazy fast for a truck up to 100 mph.

I typically try to stay out of the v6 vs v8 arguments since they don’t really go anywhere. Most people have their minds made up and won’t change them.

Badgertits is a total LS fanboy. There is no saving him.

Live your life with your nice reliable Ford V8.

Let badgertits live in his world where tearing down a GM V8 engine to it's short block to "fix" GM's DOD design issues before it grenades itself is considered not a big deal. Big cams also have no downsides where he lives.

Production begins 4th quarter of this year, the sooner the better. Hopefully this competition breeds an amazing gen 3!

The Raptor ain't all that suspension wise. If you were buying aftermarket parts to build up an off road truck suspension- the stock Raptor parts are so mild that nobody would buy them. The factory tuning of the springs and springs as a package is the key as to why it's so good on and off road. It also just goes to show how ****** all truck suspensions have been since the truck was born.

The truck horsepower war has been going strong since about 2000. The truck suspension race was started by Ford in 2010 and it taken over a decade for a real challenger to emerge- if it actually goes on sale. GM might come out with something that doesn't have a huge leaf spring stack in back and short little A-arms up front by model year 2030? 2035?

Uhhh....., Truckasaurus/Sasquatch77??? Pretty sure he/she was finally banned for life....

I was never banned. Are we still denying the Gen 3 will have a V8 in this group or has reality set in?

Talk to me.

Because they aren’t making V8s much are they? Damn you fanboys are dumb. I’ll put it Simply & bluntly again- if ford thought their V8s were the bees kneesA if they thought they could go toe to toe w/ the direct competition, if they thought they could get the most “bang for the buck” in terms of market draw/efficiency/power/reliability/longevity etc. by going w/ a V8 in high power and/or performance gasoline applications then they’d ******* be making em & putting em in every ******** thing like every other company who makes a V8 & has either a luxury division, a truck/SUV lineup, & pure performance vehicles- all the rest of the competition is either a) heavily relying on V8 platforms @ their top trim levels or b) at least putting a helluva lot more V8s in those vehicles than Ford does

this is so obvious it hurts

I’m going to refrain from mentioning again on this forum- full of guys who shelled out $70k+ for one of the most expensive & heralded performance vehicles they’ve ever made, named after a dinosaur no less - super alpha marketing, but yet what does it have under the hood?

what would it have under the hood if Toyota/Nissan/GMC/Chevy/RAM made one? How bout top tier SUVs? What do Range Rovers, Cayennes, X5s, Escalades, Q56s, Land cruisers, Sequioas, etc etc etc etc etc have under the hood?

you can come to your own conclusions

Who isn't making V8s much? Never in history have more manufacturers offered one. Take a look at the market.

It's been 2 weeks since I've seen truckasoreass troll the gen2 section.

Who's trolling? What are you going to do with your little Jenny when the next V8 Raptor comes out (thanks to Dodge/Fiat and not you girls)?

As for me, I will keep my Gen 1 and my 13th Gen 5.0. I will also be buying a 14th Gen 5.2 Raptor.
