I'd argue most trucks are more capable without mods than their drivers, so maybe start with a driver mod. Also lights, lights are underrated.

Welcome. You need absolutely no mods to start off-roading. The Raptor is a very capable truck straight from the factory. You might want to get some recovery gear just in case the truck exceeds the drivers offroad expierence...haha
