Welcome to the forum and you will love the truck. Did you get to test drive another before you bought. A chicago wide get together was discussed before but did not pan out. Another attempt would be cool. I am up near the Wisconsin border at the Navy base. Had mine sine Jan 2010. Love it.

Welcome! glad to see another Chicagoan here! i think theres 4 of us on this forum from the chicago area... maybe we need to do our own get together sometime.

maybe we should call this upper midwest meet... not just Chicago area owners, but Chicago land and lower Wisconsin and northern Illinois folks!


if we can find a semi central point... say like the Jimmy's Char House on Rand Road right off I-90..... just throwing that out there.... i also have family in southern WI, so if we have to go over the border i can find something..... i know inside Chicago would prolly suck with the parking, so im not thinking too much inside the city, but suburbs should be easiest i think.... lemme know your ideas!! id love to set this in motion.

So ordered my 2012 Silver/Black Raptor and about 10 days away from delivery. Waiting to see if it's as awesome as I hope.

How the heck can you be 10 days from delivery already? Color me jealous.

Hello All...I so feel like a rock star when I come on the forum...Learning that not only is my truck gonna be the cat's meow but also that Raptor folks as a group are pretty awesome too...I got lucky and found a dealer in Indiana that had ordered one early and it just happened to hit their inventory as I was shopping...According to my sales guy it arrives around the 28th but I'm not sure if that's written in stone so staying cautiously optimistic...I like the idea of an upper midwest get together...Illinois/Wisconsin border thing works for me...Rumor has it they have beer up north...Who knew?
