Hey everybody. I've been in love with the Raptor ever since I saw one on a lot in a small town in North Dakota two years ago. It didn't last long, and I hadn't seen one on a lot since, until yesterday. There are maybe 4 or 5 in town, but I never see them for sale.

I live in Dickinson, ND, and was in the state capitol of Bismarck yesterday to pick my bro up at the airport. I had a little time to burn, so I figured I'd cruise through the Ford lot to see what they had. Low and behold, there was a brand new red Raptor crew cab. I had the salesman let me inside and checked it out, but didn't have time for a test drive until after I picked my brother up, so I went and got him and then went back.

When I got back the truck had been moved, and the salesman said a guy had come in and test drove it in the hour I was gone and was off talking to his bank about financing. Truth or clever sales ploy? Who knows. Anyway, I took it for a drive and was blown away. It had the luxury package so it had all the bells and whistles. I was sold.

I had to put a $500 deposit on it to hold it and then wait till today to go back with a trade-in. Now I'm the proud owner of a red 2012 Raptor. The only things I have left to do is get the LineX in the bed (next week).

The thing I find the most amazing is that they had it on the lot for 6 days. One guy even passed on it because he didn't want red. It was obviously fate. She was just waiting for me to come bring her home.

Thanks! Going on a yearly paddlefishing trip tomorrow so I'm gonna get my first real experience with the truck. Gonna be towing a roughly 10k lb travel trailer so should be interesting.
