I can completely understand where you guys are coming from, but to be honest, I dont think we will be doing anything like that. It would require a whole different approach to building these. I personally do not think it would look nearly as good, because then you have a open unit with a standard light just sitting there, which I've seen in other applications and it just looks cheesy IMO, and just another access for dirt and crap to collect. Yes it would protect the light more, but you would also lose a bit of flood angle as well as the walls of the housing would cut it off.

I personally wouldn't worry about parking issues, the housing is solid, and the lens and bezel of the light are easily replaceable and don't cost much.

There was mixed feedback actually.

Overall, seems like everyone liked the product and the concept.

Then that's where people start to split.

Some say it worked great as a dust light and cut through the snow well. Others say not so much...

Some say it was great at night, but then others think it was way too bright for night.

So there's a mixed bag. It is obviously not a product for everyone, which I've clearly stated. But I can pretty much guarantee there is not an easier, and faster way to add a dust light or reverse light to your truck.
I'd like to comment on the "too bright" / " not bright enough"

During the day you want it as bright as you can get it. The snow dust can easily drown it out.

At night with low to no dust, there is a chance it could be to bright. Most guys are able to aim the light up or out or down to make sure it's not directly pointing towards the truck behind you. The problem here is that it is inevitable that once you aim it away, the dust it too thick and now the light isn't bright enough.

Even though This design isn't adjustable, it looks like a good design and easy installation. Does it come with a hitch pin?
Good news! We now have this available to order on our website!

The real question is, will this fit my Gen 2 Raptor? Lol....

Thanks for your feedback bud!

I can definitely agree with many of the comments about the "too bright / not bright enough" scenarios.

With that said, mother nature can make a fool out of any light setup we have on our trucks. Just look at the silt beds in Baja, its a giant F you to your lighting setup (and your vehicle, lol) Sometimes, you are just not going to see the truck in front of you no matter what. I also have a racers mentality, so the brighter the better, I don't care if the driver behind me is blind hahahaa. But obviously that shouldn't be the mentality on some of these public runs. Lol.

But not sure about fitment on a gen 2... I mean, does it even have a hitch? :ROFLJest:

Oh, and no there is not a pin supplied with these. I would highly suggest spending the $20 on a locking pin.

We are now offering a textured bed liner housing finish for no extra charge! We already have 2 customer units being finished this way and will post pics once complete!

We will also be making a 20' extension harness that can be used when you need a powerful work/camp light. Allowing you to use the light in more than just your hitch! Pricing is TBD, but will be approx $25.
