New Owner MD

Just Picked up a new Raptor Last weekend. Black super crew so far i love it the ride is amazing need to get it dirty though. Also i apparently should have check with some people before i bought it. That way i knew how bad the mpg's were i do have a 15 min commute to work the gas is killer. also how useless it is here i didn't know their wasn't a local desert. Did any of you guys know this truck was expensive i guess it the only vehicle thats bill is just question marks. This truck is worse then my bike. i had a 5'5" and 400 lbs guy tell me my 1199 panigale was to small and the seat was to high. then the local HD guys informed "while they were putting on an aftermarket exhaust" that my bike was to loud it has a stock exhaust.

WHAT?? These huge ass trucks with 35" off road tires get bad gas mileage????? I don't understand. When my truck gets to 1/2 tank i just slide the card and pull the lever. I never look at the mpg's....I'ts just me....but I don't index the joy of this truck from the mpg's. If I did, it would have never shown up in my driveway in the first place. My wife looks at it all the time, I can't figure for the life of me why.

Oh and welcome....get with some Raptor owners in your area, and you have some dunes a bit south of you on the Outer Banks of NC, maybe in Delaware someplace or Virginia. Also, lots of offroad stuff in your neck of the woods. Start with the easy stuff but for gawds sake take it out, get it dirty.
