New Nav Update

Any reason I can't use this on two identical 2011 Raptors (mine and brother's)?

You have to submit your "application number" and then you receive a license key. I'm betting that software is locked to a specific nav system, and the only way it could be used on another vehicle, even an identical raptor, would be to crack it.

Got the map update last week, a case with 4 DVDs.

Nothing spectacular to report, it takes a long time to update.

New S/W, Maps & Gracenote.

And it is license key locked.

Yeah, the wife's 2012 Focus got the update chip free in the mail last month.

Did your map update come with the MFT update? I think they did that play to keep angry MFT owners quiet.

Having X-yrs of new roads - yeah probably worth it. I do some pretty long distance trips and have founds lots of stuff missing. The maps now has 'North Up, Track Up and, birds eye' views - I think the birds eye view is news.

MFT is MyFord Touch. Ford sent the 2nd version of MFT with a Nav update to first version owners.

I'm planning on picking up a new crew cab this week from a dealer . guess i should make sure they update the software before i buy..Think they would do that without charging me?
