GEN 2 New Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs?

New to the forums and greatly appreciate all of the knowledge I've spent hours scanning through to date :D.

Almost time to replace my stock K02 tires on my 2018 Raptor (28,000 miles). I was looking at the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3s, then noticed that they may have recently released a new AT - the Baja Boss A/T.

I'm curious if anyone is running these yet, and for feedback, insight, etc. Any helpful info that you can provide is great.

For additional context, I have done a bunch of research on the Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx, Wrangler Duratracs, Nitto Ridge Grapplers, Toyo Open Countries, and these Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs seem to be my favorite so far.

Thanks Frank and good to hear the ATZ P3 is a great option.

I just noticed that the new Baja Boss A/Ts seem to be 6 lbs heavier than the ATZ P3s in the stock 315/70/R17 size.

Baja Boss A/Ts advertised at 72 lbs.
ATZ P3s advertised at 66 lbs.

The stock KO2s seem to come in at ~65lbs.

From my research on the forum, weight seems to be a fairly important factor. Will be curious to hear some opinions.

I don't know if this helps, but I just got back from a week in Baja on a new set of MTZ P3's and have mixed reviews. They dig in while off-road so much harder than any tire I've used previously. Generally speaking, this is great, but while trying to slide through corners it got tricky. I had to really really flick it a lot harder than my Grabber race tires or KO2's to get traction to break. I think I'll try out the AT on the next set.

I think the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires are so new that they have not been widely distributed yet. I have not found anyone who owns a set. I will tell you that I am seriously thinking about a set, but not in need of a set. My BFG's KM3's have plenty of tread left.
What I appreciate is that the Baja Boss are available in my size = 37x13.5R20, unlike many other quality A/T's that go up to 37x12.5 only. While 13.5's are not 3 Peak Mountain rated (according to MT website info.), but I imagine that they must not be bad considering the 12.5's are. Tread pattern is not changed.
I have had Nitto Ridge Grapplers (same size as above) but never ran them in snow. I liked the Nitto's in wet weather and they were quiet on my Jeep. I too am very curious about the MT Baja Boss A/T.

Why were they the worst tires that you ever owned? Balancing issues? Tread life? Construction? Noise? What model did you run and what year(s)?

A 10% weight increase on each tire is gonna be noticeable. In acceleration, steering response and ride. Who knows how much or if that matters to you but it will be less responsive in all areas.

Still waiting on my Baja Boss A/Ts for my Tremor; ATZ P3 great on the 2014 Shelby Raptor.
