Hello everyone.
New member here. Watched this forum off and on for awhile. Some great info and entertaining threads here. Thought I’d jump in. Caught the raptor bug in 2013 and bought a gen1 which I still have as my daily driver. 251,*** and still runs like a champ. Bought a 2018 magnetic to replace the 2013, but couldn’t quit diving the old one. Loved the magnetic, but the dust and scratches drove me nuts. Traded it in for a 19 in white. Maybe someday I’ll put the gen 1 out to pasture.048FD3D2-B0A3-479D-A98F-3EB0A09C4405.jpegimage.jpg

Welcome aboard again. You have Raptor blood. I can see front springs and wheel mods on the ‘19 already. Enjoy it.

Say what? What do you mean “the 2 will be dead?”
Not dead but I think the folks that have coin to buy a R will not just due to the fact it should be a bad ass truck but also due to the motor, I have nothing against the 6 cyl but the only gripe I have heard bad about it, which I am not putting it down is the exhaust note. I have a Gen1 I know it doesnlt have the tech or anything close to the newer raptors but I love my 6.2 and the preformance it offeres. Oh and I was half in the bag when I wrote the original thing :happy160:

Lol, gotcha. The R should be an incredible truck, but I’m guessing the price tag will be around $100k. That will probably put it out of range for a lot of folks, myself included!

Agreed and I don’t think availability will be high, especially the first year. More Gen 3 standard Raptors will be by far the most sold. The only caveat to this is the R and the Tremor F-150 sitting below the Raptor. The Gen 2 long sat by itself and not even having another brand competing with it. I won’t even get into electrics coming for those who will cherish the 0-60 blast modes they will have and prize this over all around capability.
