Sweet! Just the kind of advice I was looking for! I'll definitely do that. Now I just need to find one that I can afford! lol If the ones around were just a few grand less I'd already have pulled the trigger. Holding out to find a deal... and deals on these bad boys are few and far between. But if there is one to be found... I'll find it!

Cheers, JR

As hard as it is, you just have to be patient. It took my truck 6 months to get here from the day I ordered it until the day I took delivery.

Welcome aboard. Have you checked out the raptor for sale in your city that is listed on this forum? Has quite a few upgrade mods that would give you a heck of a start, might not even have to do any for some time. Only thing I would do is remove the wrap.

That truck sold a month or so ago.

You must be in the "know". Guess the seller forgot to add that in his thread. Good for him, he definitely took a beating for what he had in it.

I remember seeing it all over facebook. Finally sold for its asking price and the guy took the wrap off.

As much as I'd like to order a new one OR have purchased that local one, both are out of my price range. Looking for a 2013 in anything but black or red with semi low miles. All the while trying to stay around $45,000…. I know that's a little bit lower than most are going for, but I know if I hold out long enough I'll find one.

Welcome! I was gonna get a low mileage 2013 or 2014 Raptor when I was in the market, and then I noticed there isn't too much a price difference from brand new and slightly used (15,000 miles or less), especially in Minnesota where the dealers very rarely mark them up in the Twin Cities.

I would look at new ones in the Twin Cities area and consider shipping it to where you are located, if you are willing to pay shipping fees.

Just a thought!

Well good luck with that. You might have to wait until the new model Raptor arrives (if it ever does), then we will see what happens to the values of the 1st Gen raptors.

That's my problem, I don't bookface very much if at all.

Good deals pop up. You just have to be ready to jump on them when they do. Not too long ago there was a truck for sale in Dallas. 2012 with relatively low miles, suspension work, and 37s on it for sale around $48K and it had substantially more into it than most others in that price range or priced higher.

Oh, I'll find one. Trust me. Found one in Bismarck, ND a few days ago listed for $47k. Sold just before I got my mits on it. Talked to the dealer though and he said he wouldn't tell me how much he sold it for because he sold it for much less than he wanted to, but had to move it. "Much less" than $47k, has got to be in the $45k range, if not less. And it was a very nice piece, 2013, 20k miles, Perf White, nav, pretty much all the options I've seen on every one I've looked at. If I can find a few more of those in a small town dealership and a motivated dealership, I bet I'll get one for $45-46k.

Patience grashoppa... it will be :owned2:

(PS - just took a jaunt through the message icon library... so I have to ask... who is wiz?)
