Hello,

ford guy who’s never owned a raptor but is finally getting ready to pull the trigger.

woth the release of the 21 around the corner I’m getting calls from the dealer willing to negotiate the msrp

but wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts from owners instead.

Welcome to the place. Nobody is sure yet if there will be a 2021. SO I'm guessing they are calling about 2020's left in stock? If you can get a deal at msrp or under, I would go for it.

Welcome. Most dealers aren’t dealing yet and trying to get top dollar for the 2020 stock, which wasn’t as big a production year with shutdowns.

Optimally an invoice price would be a great deal. Depends on your market though. Sub MSRP can be good in your area.

You maybe rolling the dice waiting for a 2021 and new pricing. Not too mention ADM’s and availability. And if if for some reason they go V8 and that’s all they offer, expect crazy pricing like the new TRX. Ford could try to beat the TRX on performance, but if they did that at price, they would retain the market share. Too many variables.

Only you can decide on when you want it and what’s most important.

For sure..

my plan really is if the 21 is a big refresh to get a good price on a 20/19

I’m down here in Miami and they’re selling a lot at msrp but the dealer called me that they can give me a deal under msrp. Just trying to dice if the 802a is worth that big premium over an 801a or 800a

Im in south Florida too. Expensive market!!! Last year when I bought mine I couldn’t get a deal lower than MSRP at best. And those were limited. Many were above MSRP and I wasn’t having that. Finally got one that was fresh off the delivery truck and listed by the dealer that day. Was a rare deal down here at invoice and a free linex spray in.

Well if you can get into the truck with the options you want down here under MSRP your heading in the right direction. I would keep working them. For a ‘20 yes, a ‘19 I would go for under invoice.

I know someone that got a deal in Central Fl somewhere. That was right at the end of the year though on a ‘20.

if you really want the luxury features and tech the 802A is it. 801A optioned well can give you all the essential hardware. To me by the time I added up most of what I really wanted, I just went for the 802A and that deal just popped up, so I grabbed it.

I can try to assist with any questions you may have as well as the folks here, who know the truck’s well.
