Hello all,
"More" truck than I need, admittedly. I developed the habit in upper Michigan where weight and efficiency were needed. Also towed a Haulmark race trailer sometimes. Mostly 3/4 diesels of all major brands. Then of course I fell in love with the new Raptor. Quite the package of technology, if they pull it off. I can live without the V8 sound, though it's awesome. I emailed my dealer to arrange a drive of a 2012, just to get a feel for it. One worry is the turn radius, but I can't imagine it's worse than my 2015 Dmax crew.
Any advice as far as must have options? Midwest dealers?
I'm thinking avalanche gray, SCREW, no sunroof, debadged (no graphics or decal, as with my old FX4, a great clean look.)
I anticipate a smooth unladen ride. And better economy.
Do I need it? Not really. Fun factor beats practicality, and in a service industry it's better to be over prepared and mobile 24/7.
My kid will love it if I can find something to run over. Curbs, flower beds, tree trunks.
Thanks!
