Had some really hard rains come through last night. Jumped in my truck for work this morning and it wouldn't stay on. It would turn over, start then die. After two attempts it stayed on a few seconds but I got a "Hill Assist Deactivated" warning and "Low Oil Pressure" warning and a large wrench across my screen. I turned it over again, gave it some throttle and it finally stayed running but now the check engine light is on. Drove it to work and it feels a little under powered now with what feels like a slight miss like a fouled spark plug.
What about the rain? Reason I mentioned the rain was because on my old 2001 Lincoln Navigator, it had a leaky windshield issue. Under heavy rains, water would come in and up under the dashboard. The drip would get in to the BCM and cause all kinds of weird issues like flashing lights, horn would go off on its own. It would start up on its own too. Just made it look like it was haunted.
So my question is, has anyone experienced this type of issue on a Gen 1 Raptor? The fix on my Navigator was to have a glass shop pull the windshield and apply a fair amount of windshield sealer to the bottom corner of the windshield on the drivers side. No more problems after this and truck lived happily to almost 300K miles.
