Newb. Long time GM guy (and still am...) I'm somewhat of a brand loyalist, but I can state the overall badassery of the Raptor is unmatched. This being the case I'm Raptor shopping. Little background on me, long time car guy. Always owned 4x4s (and all GM) and fast 4 doors, a 96 Impala SS I sold a while back, to buy a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT, which I sold, then bought another identical one... Anyway my current fleet is a '09 G8 GT, 03 6.0L Escalade, 1985 F350 5.9 Cummins (it's the cleanest work truck I've seen with that kind of age). In the works of buying a 99 2 door Tahoe for a 4x4 project.

I'm looking for a Raptor to bomb around the Eglin AFB reservation at speed. I know it's not a crawler or a tow pig, but it'd make a baddass daily driver. I'm deployed overseas at the moment but I plan to start stacking parts in the near future....:win:

Welcome to FRF! Once in a Raptor you will have a lot of people approach and say "I hate Fords but man I love the Raptor" or something along those lines....

Plus a Raptor often gets you in to places you might not belong. When visiting our son at Ellsworth AFB the female guard spent 30 seconds looking at my ID. The male guard spent over a minute asking questions about the Raptor. Instant security clearance!
