Been lurking here for awhile, and have been planning a new F150 Purchase for the past two years. Just got a promotion and decided to go for the Raptor. Raptor is on order, so like many, I wait.

My first vehicle was a 1973 Chevy Blazer, which I sold in 1985. Been without a truck ever since. I wanted to get back into a truck so figured it's now or never.

Thanks to all who post great info here. You do the rest of us a useful service!

Welcome!

Whereabouts in SoCal are you? I'm in the Northern SFV.

While you're waiting you may want to read up on off roading if you haven't done it before of if it's been a long time. The Raptor can off road like no production vehicle ever made and its capabilities can get the driver into perm-grin or trouble very quickly.

Dan, I'm also in the Northern part of the Valley. I used to offroad all the time in Tampaland (West of Tampa, when Rinaldi turned to dirt). That's all S&S tract homes now. Also used to drive on the 118 before they paved it. I was a crazy teenager back then. Of course, one could argue that any local commute on L.A.'s crappy roads amounts to a day's worth of off roading.....
