I've been bent on getting a Raptor since I first saw one reviewed a few years ago. I plan to order mine around February of 2013 and hope for a before-summer delivery. I plan on lurking here and making sure that this is the truck I want over a 4wd, super crew Tundra. I'm 99%, but want to make sure I get it right. This will be my first new vehicle purchase.

Thanks for having me,

Carson

Thanks for the welcome, I fully expect to go with the Raptor.

Never cared too much for the sun roof, stickers, upgraded tailgate or bed extender, but I'm fairly certain I need the rest of the available options.

Yea I would also say the Raptor. My wife tried to get me to test drive and buy a Tundra. I just looked at her and told her it was a waste of time because it was not a Raptor.

Then I got her to drive the Raptor and she said order it.

Haven't driven one yet. There's only three within 50 miles of me and two of them are in private hands. The other is on a used dealer's lot and someone beat it up pretty bad. I don't think it would give me a good representation of the truck even if I went and test drove it.

My current pickup is an 18 year old 2wd Chevy, so pretty much anything would be an improvement.

I work in the natural gas oilfield and am normally in a company pickup. I only put 5-7k miles a year on my personal vehicle as it is so I figure I may as well drive something I want to be in, right? :D

Not sure where in Oklahoma but I saw a used white super cab at diffee ford and a used red crew at Yukon New black screw at Moore ford at 240/35
Tundra looks good but raptor is bad ass and will hold value better
Good luck

Welcome.

Raptor > Tundra all day.

I made the same choice in 2009 (when I ordered my 2010 6.2) and have never regretted it in any way whatsoever.
