Yeah I have to hit I-15 at some point to get through Idaho. I've been looking at a route to stick to the mountains at first - but then the roads kinda seem to disappear.

I'll put a thread up this weekend when I have more of a route confirmed - I'd like to meet up with a few other members on this tour, as it may be the only chance at a vacation this year the way things are going.

We'll make something work as I have plenty of time to get where I'm going - are you in north or south Montana?

I'm way up North. We are only 35 miles from the Delbonita border crossing. We actually go to Calgary pretty often.

If you're looking for a good Mountain run, you could come down as far as Hwy 2 and cut across the mountains through glacier until Hwy93 and then head down to I15 from there. You'd get to go through Glacier park and then down the shore of Flathead lake.

Cool, Galcier park was on the bucket list!

I'll probably take hwy2 through the border and we can meet up then. I'll send a PM with more info this weekend.

Thanks. You probably weren't missing it quite as much the last couple months while we've been having sub-zero temps. I was in Missoula in November to watch my Bobcats beat the Griz. Great game!

Welcome from another new member!

I'm with Randy....you guys are killing me.....and I've only been to Montana once....and I swear I'l either retire there or get back there frequently once I retire....this time with fly rods in hand. First time was with ex-wife on "honeymoon".....flew into Billings, over Beartooth, down to Yellowstone .She couldn't figure out :chair: why I would just pull over and explore any area that has a stream running through it (and mumble something about a damn and a fly rod). Should've known then.
