First I want say this forum has been very helpful in researching the differences between Gen 1 and Gen 2, the value/usefulness of various options, and explaining various issues common to Raptors and sometimes F150s in general. That’s the good news. The bad news is y’all convinced me to spend more money than I (and my wife) had originally intended! Thank you!
I started out looking for a low mileage Gen 1. They are hard to come by. I then test drove a Gen 2 to compare it to the Gen 1. I liked how the Gen 2 drove and more importantly, I knew my wife would like driving it better. So I started looking for a higher mileage 2017 Gen 2 in order to keep the cost reasonable. Long story short, in order to get the options I wanted I ended up with low mileage 2018! We love it!
We got a 2018 Monochromatic Magnetic 802A today with moonroof, exterior and hood graphics, carbon fiber, tail gate step and bead lock ready wheels. 12K miles.
We split our time between Cuchara CO and Austin TX. The Raptor will be used for some CO trails and to tow my 76 Bronco rock crawler back and forth and to rock crawling trails, as well as being our daily driver. I am active over on ClassicBroncos.com - a member there recommended this forum to me.
Looking forward to getting to know this Raptor!
