Hello all,

Joined last week and officially posting my first post in the new member section. Posted earlier asking where to buy a Raptor. Spoke with a dealer today and will be confirming my order in a couple of days. I am a current owner of a 2011 King Ranch that I will be trading in on the Raptor.

This is what I am ordering:
2014 Supercrew
Ruby Red
801A
SE Edition
Hood Graphic
Moonroof
Bed Extender
Tailgate Step
Spray-in Liner
Soft Cover
Front Camera
MSRP is $59,975

Dealer offer was $50 over invoice but I have to wait 4-6 months with a NON-REFUNDABLE $1000 deposit.

Sounds like a smoking deal. It's out of state but only a 3 hour drive. I have no idea what they are going to offer on trade but it's optional on the deal anyways, so I have time to sell it privately if I choose. I know it is normal for a dealer to take a deposit for an order but it is also normal for it to be non-refundable?

Thanks,
RDFTS

Hood graphics? I want to see that!

It sounds nice. And the price is just a little over the price of a 2013 MSRP so that's pretty darn coll

here, on frf
morning..........

deposits are always refundable. if they are saying its non refundable then i would walk away. you give them a check and they take your money. what if they dont order your truck but say they did? are you really going to wait 6 months with them telling you that there is no status updates? then walk away from the money you put down? it is illegal for them to keep your deposit. if you dont take delivery of the vehicle, you are entitled to get your money back.

That is a looooong wait to go stir crazy! Welcome & Good Luck!

Actually works out perfect for me. I have about 5 months left to pay off my existing truck.

As I understand it, if they can't deliver then it is refundable. I am pretty sure it is if I back out after I place my order then it is not.
