Hello everyone! I am new to the SVToffroad forum, but not necessarily new to car forums in general. I am a major car enthusiast, and my current vehicle is what has inspired me to always find a forum for any vehicle that I may be interested in. So naturally I had to sign up over here!

A little background about myself---I currently own a 2007 Sublime Dodge Charger Daytona that I have done..... a few things to, hahaha. In other words, Im not sure if there is anything stock left on it. While the car is A LOT of fun, I think it is time for me to get back into the truck game a little bit (but the Charger wont be going anywhere any time soon....). Prior to my Charger I owned a '99 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with a 4" lift and 35" tires. The HD F150 will not be quite the "off-road" oriented vehicle this time around, but I have a few ideas in mind for it....

Here's a few pictures of my Charger:

WHY I AM HERE

I was currently in the market for a new vehicle and like I said, I would like to get back into a truck. As far as Ford goes, I was specifically considering the 2010 F150 Harley Davidson edition. I signed up on this forum because I know forum member "BigJ" from another place I like to call home (LXForums).

I absolutely love this truck, no two ways about it. The interior is what really sold me on it. I know the top-of-the-line F150s are nice too..... but they just dont stand out like the HD edition and Raptor do. I need something that can handle the weather here in Chicago all year round, be daily driven, yet look great on the street as well. Also, the fact that I can tow with it is really nice too, because I would like to stop driving the Charger cross-country to shows and events.

Anyhow, I am looking forward to talking with more people on this site about my new truck. I am actually going to pick it up tonight from the dealer, so I dont even have any pictures of it to post just yet. Couldn't be more excited though... Can't wait to drive it.

Duuude! Great to see ya here Pat. And congratufreakinglations on the HD!

When I heard he was picking up an HD, I invited Pat here because there are few folks who take "modding" more seriously than he. As you can tell by those pics, if he's going to do something, he's going to do is above and beyond anything anyone else has thought of. And even though he *says* he doesn't have huge plans for the HD... well lets just say I think I know him better than that .

It will be fun to watch and hopefully help 'er evolve Pat. No question the stuffs you do will almost directly translate to stuff we can do to our Raptors. And on the flip side hopefully of the tech knowledge and know how contained here will help you out as well.

Great to have ya aboard Pat! As a fellow Mopar junkie, I can promise the Ford F150 HD/Raptor waters are awful nice :)

Pat - I'm new here too - waiting on my Raptor which is on order - hopefully it will be in this week. A buddy of mine recommended this site to me as well once he heard I was getting a raptor - looking forward to swapping stories.

Right on, thanks for the warm welcome, J. Glad to be here!

Hey, I never said I didnt have plans for the HD.... I just said it wont be taken as far as the Charger went, lol. Looking forward to sharing my project with all of you folks!

(But dont think I didnt notice that during March of 2009, brand new Saleen supercahrger kits were selling for $3,500..... LOL, quite the opposite of the price tags Im used to!)

Great to hear, Rod.

Thankfully I did not go the ordering route so it was all a matter of when I could make it back out to the dealer to pick it up. Nothing is worse than waiting for something you have on order, lol. Hopefully your patience is stronger than mine! Looking forward to hearing your first impressions of it. I'll be sure to relay my expeirence tonight when I get to drive it home from the dealer later on.

Hello and Congrats on the HD.

I'm a former HD owner my self...03' Black HD. I remember setting in my dealer's office ordering my Raptor and checking out the new HD. It was a very hard choice but I wanted something slightly different this time around. Anyhow, welcome aboard...oh and nice Dodge!

Thanks! And indeed you will.... I just went and picked up the truck on Tuesday night. :D

Not sure how soon I will get to full-fledged modding-mode, but hopefully I will have some nice projects cooking in the oven over the winter and ready in time for next spring. First on the list will no doubt be a sound system---that sad excuse of a noise-maker (errrr, subwoofer) under the back seat is, no joke, pathetic. I know stock sound systems are never overwhelmingly fantastic, but that sub hardly even produces bass in the right frequencies! Ive already got a pretty crafty plan in mind to deal with the issue, and Im really excited about it.

Another must-do mod is going to be a shorty antenna.

And an exhaust system.....

And Ive got a great vision in mind for a set of wheels, but it'll be a while before I take that plunge!

Damn it! I said I wasnt gonna mod this thign too much!!

Thanks! You are not the first (and from what it sounds like, not the last...) person to tell me that they ahd it narrowed down to the Raptor or the HD. I knew from the start that the HD was for me.... after I saw it in person, it was a done deal. So far it seems like it was a great decision!
