Welcome BMacD: Great site.... you nailed it. Great folks and even better info {watch out for "Wilson" haha}
And by the way, thank you for your service for our country. Please know how proud we all are of our Armed Forces and how much we admire the way you represent our values and morality, here and abroad.
I live in High River Alberta and was so thankful for the help the military provided to my family and myself last summer when the horrific flood, next to destroyed, our town that terrible couple of weeks. Canadian Forces were at my doorstep that morning offering help to get my family to safety while the raging torrent was wiping out homes around us. {helicopter literally 50 yards from my doorstep and monstrous 6,8? wheel vehicles shortly after} Also I later personally witnessed the damage that breaking into our homes, by kicking down our doors and then removing our weapons and ransacking of personal property while most of us were blocked from returning, by the RCMP. Road blocks spike belts and arrogance. While at a roadblock two soldiers refusing to help the RCMP who were there witnessed the arguing of the activities of these paramilitary goons and us "townies" andvoiced an opinion to a police officier {who told us we had no rights and would be arrested}. The two soldiers stood their ground and lambasted the RCMP, who of course, ignored them. They looked at me and apologized for the lawless renta cop activity {you must see "Broken Trust" on U tube}. I will never forget that 15 minutes of disbelief of the RCMP activity, and then the alternate treatment of compassion from your brothers in arms......Many, Many Thanks.
