Question....does the 7 pin connector fool the truck into thinking a trailer is attached - which then disables certain features like auto start stop and rear cross traffic alert?

Possibly? But since there isn't power draw all the time because only the revers wire and ground are connected. There may not be a signal for that. It isn't something we checked. I can try to check here in a bit.

IIRC the reverse wire does not trigger the trailer connected crap.
