On the Stealth Fighter on our truck, we just reach down and change it from the engine bay.

The FMIC has no impact on grabbing the filter. You reach down for the filter behind the radiator in the opening underneath the CAI tube. If you need some help, we can always hop on a FaceTime chat and I can show you how I do it.
