So just received my 2025 Raptor 37 on Wednesday.. and ive gotta say im quite disappointed in the condition/build quality. Some issues ive noticed in chronologically order since owning it for 2 days.

1. Paint is in pretty unacceptable conditions. Major marring on the black center pillar door trims, scratches all over the body of the car.
2. Major rust on the underneath specifically the transfer case. as well as front toe hook and rear toe hitch
3. Left roof speaker is blown out. Front door speakers are distorted/blown? you hear the low ends/bass but nothing else, compared to the back door speakers and they sound completely different, also tested it with diff audio sources.
4. Alignment and or tire balance is off. Car steering shakes a bit around 80 and doesnt really drive straight.

were my expectations too high? I mean I did pay 104k for the truck. Funny the 2018 gen 2 raptor I bought with 30k miles a few years ago was in better condition than this new one. also I was planning to PPF the entire truck but maybe i should hold off for now? let me know your thoughts/ advice. thanks guys.

My B pillars had swirls on them when I took delivery of my ‘25 801a. I figured it was due to the dealer running it through an auto wash prior to delivery. That gloss black scratches so easily. I haven’t notice any of the other issues you describe, but I also haven’t looked super hard. I do have a rear parking sensor that does off randomly. My audio books sound fine over the sound system, but I guess I should try some music to make sure everything is good.

That black plastic does scratch so easy. I take mine straight to detail shop I tell the dealer not to wash it at all. Some clear Xpel on that black first thing saves them.

The paint being in questionable condition sounds potentially like a dealer problem, especiiallly since you say the piano black is all scratched. The piano black should arrive covered from the factory. Thats why I don't let the dealer do anything beyond the PDI, I take all stickers and everything off once i get it home.

I would scale back on "major rust", perhaps its being in california you're unfamiiar with what major rust is lol That is surface rust, you can either clean it off, or if its into the paint a little, sand it off, paint it with rustoleum, and move on. Its a 5 minute fix.

As for the diff, thats going to happen unless you put liquid film on it anyways. So you can either spend an afternoon and sand/repaint, or deal with it. Again, not a make or break. I think I have to do that amount of touchup every year in the real rust belt.

The speaker issue sounds like someone was "testing" your volume. Can't help but wonder about dealer here.

Alignment sucks, but both of those can be fixed by the dealer.

Thanks for all the responses, also I uploaded a pic of the drivers seat, it seems to be crooked either the seat itself or the headrest. I actually noticed it when i was outside looking into the cabin from the front. And should i bother asking to the dealer to polish/ paint correct the pillars/paint? or should I just do it myself, i have some experience polishing/ceramic coating cars.

I fix anything I can myself. I don't think the dealer's people will provide the same level of care and detail that I know I will. Plus, getting anything done at a dealer these days seems to take way too long and often multiple trips. Another option for the paint would be to find a good detailer to do paint correction and ceramic coating. It won't be cheap, but it will make future cleaning easier. I plan to get ceramic coating done on mine since I only handwash my vehicles.

The 26 needs to have 500 horsepower. It does not need 540 like the RHO but 500 will keep people interested. How many engines are in a vehicle for 9 years with same output. Toyota fans be quiet no one cares.
As a recovering Toyota addict, this hits, lmao
