i thought it was funny sales guy said ford removed the keypad on the pillar due to phone as a key but when i explored on the ford website it said on mustang e and one other had that. will post side pick and interior pic later. Over all amazing truck and big improvement over the 21 bas stripped down raptor i had a few years ago.

Oh one other question on the key fob if i double click the start button nothing happens. is there a setting i need to turn on in the menu?

Hit the lock button first then double click. Actually a good feature, don’t want your trucking driving away while your shaving lol.

Congrats to the guys who received or ordered your new trucks! I wish you the best!

However, Ford has been steadily and exponentially increasing the prices over the past 4-5 years, all while removing features. The price of a 25 802a is about 10k higher than my 22 37PP, both of which are missing features from the 21s.

I hate what I'm about to write, but after having owned 4 Raptors and 3 other F-150s, after seeing Ford increasing costs while quietly eliminating features, diminished quality of seating surfaces (I haven't had the Recaro seats), and after viewing several different reviews of the new Ram RHO and seeing two in person, I'd be taking a very hard look at getting an RHO if I were in the market for an 801a.

Now let me go wash my hands and gargle mouthwash. Thanks alot Ford!

My 24 came with plates with holes in the spots that the cleats were attached in my 18. Dealer said that the holes could be used to attach tie-downs. I used the cleats constantly on my 18 so I bought a set from Amazon that were a match for what I had on the 18.

There’s a whole list of things missing or changed (not for the better) between my 18 and my 24. It’s clear that Ford is going cheap, which is going to lose them customers in the long run (IMHO). For a 93k price tag it’s disappointing to see that.

I picked up my '25 on New Year's Eve. I also didn't get any bed cleats, so I will be interested to hear if you get them.

Based on what I have read and watched, the two things that the '25 lost are the standard keypad, which is now a dealer installed option, and the lights surrounding the USB ports in the front compartment that houses the wireless charger. Some physical buttons we also moved or removed. The start/stop button is now on the left side of the steering wheel by the light controls. Most of the buttons that were above the center screen are now between the volume and tuning knobs. The only buttons still above the screen are parking assist and trail control. There is no physical button for pro power, which I understand used to exist. You have to use the screen to activate it. Finally, my keys don't have the Raptor battery cover. They just have the Ford blue oval.

None of the changes are a big deal to me. The Raptor still feels like a solid upgrade from my GMC AT4X outside of the leather quality on the seats.

I wonder why the start button was moved? Did they get a new left handed designer for the interior? Or maybe the designer's right arm was in a sling, which would also explain moving the buttons from where you can more easily see them, but they were farther to reach...lol.

My last truck 24 GMC 2500 AT4X duramax cost the same as my Raptor. Not comparing trucks, however the options you get for the money, seems like GM is a better value.

Just to name a few message seats, rearview camera (stays on while driving), kicker system in the tailgate etc.

Ford keeps removing options on the Raptor and increasing the retail, they will start losing market share. I would rather them keep some of the options removed a pay a higher price.

Torsen diff, (still available on Tremors), Red strip on the steering wheel, console lighting etc.

You’re not wrong about the cost increases and the QC; Ford has had another banner year of leading the way on recalls. This is bad business. That said, you’re comparing a .75 ton work truck to an off road ‘half ton’ truck and the comparison, such as it is really isn’t fair. The Raptor is a performance truck that can do things off road that destroy other half ton trucks. It sacrifices ability to tow and haul at the altar of performance. You should be looking at an F250 to draw a closer comparison.

Ford has definitely whacked the options on models across the line. Some of them were problem children - wireless charging in the ’24 Mustang was a an abject failure, and removed from the ’25 model entirely. HUGE numbers complained it just cooked the phones. Torsen, I think was just a profit issue, but I would point out that since ’17, some users were complaining of “pulling” under acceleration, attributed to the Torsen. Maybe they thought they could electronically trick the truck to about 85% of the Torsen’s function and save several hundred dollars per truck. Who knows. I will bet that I know why the red stripe is gone; because some folks are washing their hands in brake cleaner before getting in the truck and white knuckle gripping the wheel at 12 o’clock.

Cross shopping is the right answer. If someone has a competing product, you’re a fool not to look. Ford does a lot of things right, but definitely not everything.
