New 2020 with stock suspension and front end topping out with clunk noise....

I have a little street jump near my house where when flinging about 60 mph the road has hump and you can get airborne about 6-8 inches. Truck
Lands like a pillow.

however their is a front driver side clunk when the suspension tops out. Only on the driver side. I have experienced this with trucks that had coil overs cranked up too much, or vehicles with preload spacers. However on an $80000 truck with fox live valve suspension....unacceptable.

does anyone know what this could be and is it a common problem?

its common. I think its the upper control arms. my truck did it on the passenger side until i put icon delta arms on and seems to have gone away. there's going to be some noises no matter what you do.. yeah the truck costs what it costs, but its still a production vehicle and its not a custom pre-runner. its mass produced.

I think you’ve got to expect a sound if the shocks fully extend suddenly while airborne

They should have a rubber top out stop. And it only does it in the drivers side, the passenger side is smooth as glass. Is it the end of the world, no. But certainly a bit of an irritation.

Not common. I'd have the deal check it out. I haven't jumped my truck in quite a while but the few times I have I didn't hear a clunk. WHen I did Raptor Assault I didn't hear a clunk either. Rubber dampers should prevent clunking sounds at full extension. I will say that the term "clunk" is subjective so......

Yeah, I would also think the live valve of the fox shocks should slow down travel so as that it doesn’t clunk. My dealer is incompetent, they literally are challenged to doing simple maintenance, let alone finding a mechanical issue outside of the normal.

Jumping is a nasty business no matter what your equipment is. Drive it and enjoy it. If you want quiet get a Bentley. But don't jump it.
