Great vid. Im sure they dont want to release any hard numbers because its still a work in progress. Im glad The Fast Lane Truck got a little Q&A in with someone official just so we can all know everything they want us to know at the moment.

Only thing is the Ford guy needs to work on his public speaking, he said 'uh' or 'um' 84 times in that video.

Not really everything we needed to know but it's getting closer and closer for more info.

Homie said it best, we do research with owners to see what they use the truck for and their off road applications. I guess they sit at a lot of Starbucks and hit curbs. Pretty sure they didn't talk to anyone on this forum.

They have reps on this forum that regularly participate. And I'd imagine the folks in the SVT or FP department check it as well.

A new tranny that is new to the market hmmmmm and not going to be on other models... Have to wonder about that one--I was one of the people that got caught up in the E40D tranny problem with the F250 oil burners (all F250's). When they came out were supposed to be tested in fleet vehicles such as ambulances etc. Had 2 in a year both shelled. Will have to wait on this...

Does anyone have a good email address that will get me to the old SVT guys (Ford Performance what???). I already emailed corporate on my thoughts on the new 2017 Raptor but I'd like to get an email to Jamaal and company. I hope many of us will send some solid, respectful emails to Ford and what changes we'd like to see in the 2017 Raptor before it's finalized. I'm sure we can get some tweaks if our voice is loud enough. Maybe the V8 option is beyond a possibility but let's at least give it a try.

Why not setup an online petition that we can all sign?

Man.... I didn't watch this until today. I like the front end better after seeing a close up at different angles. I do now understand what others have mentioned about the side vents and bed. Side vents look like an after thought and the bed does not flow into the cab well at all. I'm willing to bet at least one of these is changed before production. Everything from Ford sounds like they are really pushing the Ecoboost in it. It better be really powerful, have low end TQ, and be reliable. If this engine/trans combo comes out flat they are going to have a lot of egg on their face.

I have little doubt it's going to perform off-road. I highly doubt their feedback is that positive on the engine choice. Just give us a V8 option with say 450hp or more which should be plenty in a 500lb lighter truck. Tweak those bulging panels to flow more like ours, change those monster vents back to our style, change the hood back if possible and Raptorize the front better (less Super Duty look). I personally like the tailgate. Do that and I bet 90 percent of us would be happy campers.

I am sure some of the weight savings comes from having a V6 TT. A V8 option would just add back the weight. I am not saying it will add back 500 pounds but a V8 option may result in a total weight savings of 300 pounds and NOT 500 pounds.
