here, on frf
while performance may increase from bigger shocks, (supposedly) more hp, and wider stance, i dont like the look of it, or the 10 speed transmission. doesnt seem right to have 10 gears to mess with in a truck. and the looks are not my style. our first gen raptors are a one of a kind look. with this new setup, i see gm headlights and toyota grill and tailgate.

Definitely; I was really hoping for the 6.2L still or maybe even a supercharged 5.OL, but if it delivers with the Eco then I will still be happy.

lol...yeah, didn't think that would go over very well...lol.

I can attest to the performance of the Eco as I owned a couple of them; great power for sure but no way is it going to give better gas mileage if you use it like it's supposed to be used. And the V8s do so sound so much better too. The whole reliability issue is yet to prove out in my book but smaller displacement is where things are headed; I sure hope Ford knows what they're doing.

Now if Ford put a 5.0 EB in this new truck?? That would change everything for me. That would be awesome. Im with there bud!

The shocks don't look like actal fox 3.0. They look like the stock shocks on the existing raptor just enlarge from 2.5 to 3

Of Course Ford will cheap out, they are not going to pay 3.0 prices to Fox but will charge the customer though.

The old EB's actually had a far better torque curve than the 6.2, even out of the hole, that's why there's two turbos instead of one. The EB with the Raptor tune will likely have an even better power curve.

Diesel like power curve with the screaming top end as well. Still a fan of the 6.2 though, it's hard to beat simplicity when you start to push the envelope.

Also, that new tailgate is fugly, looks straight off of a plasticy GM Avalanche or Aztek.

Thank you. Perfect.

The tailgate is hands down the worst, ugliest thing they have done in a while.

I love it. Can't wait to get one. I have said this before but my wife has a 15 Navigator with hopped up Lincoln version of the Eco that makes 385 hp and 480 tq and had 4.10 gears. It is MUCH quicker than my raptor.,... It does sound like shit though. :)

Is there any reason to hope they might offer a tt 5.0 as an option?

The EB will probably be just fine, just hope that the throttle is nice and responsive. It was always going this direction!

Oh and awesome about 3.0 foxs, to people saying they aren't the same as the race shocks....NO SHIT! Most Raptor owners wouldn't be ready for the maintenance that comes with those shocks anyway.

nah a 5.0 option won't be there. It will be that 3.5 EB. Would be nice though.
