Neoprene Shock Covers Anyone?

Is there anyone running any Neoprene shock covers? I found some from ICON and Allstar. Anyone have any experience or recommendations?

I use these on my RZR and have used them on quads in the past. They keep dust out of the seals, but also hold in moisture, so ensure you clean them out regularly.

Shocks get hot, and unless I'm badly mistaken they're air cooled.
This is a dumb idea.

I ran the ICON ones. They get torn up quick when off-roading, bought two more sets. I was using zipties to keep them on and finally gave up and took them off. I did like running them in the winter. It kept the road salt and crap off them. That would be the only time I would recommend them and street use.

I'm getting my stock shocks rebuilt and they are pretty beat up. It cost a pretty penny to get them refinished and I just want to cover them. Looks like an easy fix for a street truck.

Were you able to find ICONs for the front and the rear?

Heat retention can definitely be a problem with shock covers. Tried using them on snowmobiles. Crazy how much heat difference covered to uncovered. Has to effect performance.

I wondered the same thing, since I ran Shockwears on my Banshee when desert racing, but only found Icon and hardly anyone running them on our trucks. They did a good job protecting the shocks on my quad BUT the shocks had finned remote reservoirs so cooling wasn't so limited.

If it's the rears you're probably better off with mid flaps, if it's the fronts maybe don't follow so closely and get roosted...
