Need your help fast! - Gen 1 Camper Shell Compatibility? ARE Z2 from gen 2 will it fit a gen 1???

Found a camper shell from a 2020 oxford white Raptor it’s an ARE Z2, before I make the drive with cash, will it fit? Is it incompatible? Should I just get one that fits? Etc… trust y’all so welcome all feedback. I have a 2011 Raptor.

Unless it’s a killer deal I would bet the fit will look off since the cabs are different.
I can’t specifically say it will/will not fit but if it were me I’d pass and get one for a 2004-2014, should be plenty of them out there

Where are you guys finding all these used toppers/campers? I want one, but local Craigslist is not very productive.....

Facebook Marketplace. I am going to pass. After some research it sounds like the rear locking hatch becomes useless if you try and fit a gen 2 on a gen 1. Springfield MO is where it resides. Simple google search and you can find it Oxford white ARE Z2 looks in good condition. You could probably get it for $1500 cash.

I just picked up an ARE overland topper for my gen 1 from Facebook marketplace for 800. Deals are out there, you just have to be patient. I’ve been shopping for about 6 months.
You are correct in that the actual shell from a gen 2 will fit just fine, but the back window will not fit or lock correctly. You can purchase just the back window, but I’d recommend just finding one designed for a gen 1.

$800? WOW. Those are $2500 plus about a 6-8 week lead time....nice score!

Yea that was a crazy find especially if it was in the last 6months. I cannot even find a new one thats not 12 months out Oh and like $4,000.
