Need some lift/tire advice

Hey y'all. Would love some guidance on a few things. First of all, I use my 18 Raptor mostly for hauling two sons around and city driving. I take it off roading 5 times a year and take about 3 long road trips a year.

I love the look of it, but I'd like bigger more aggressive tires than the K02s. I'd also like the truck to sit higher. Honestly, there's nothing practical about this truck for me and that's partly why I love it.

My budget is around 2k, which may or may not be realistic. Here's what I'm considering and I'd love some feedback. Not looking for shit talking or banter. I've driven factory 4Runners almost my entire life so most of this is new to me.

For the "lift" I'm looking at the SST 2.5"

For tires I'm looking at 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers. I have a strong preference on keeping the factory wheels (17s). Love the look of them.

Will this combo work without a lot of rubbing? What can I expect in terms of drive feel? What other options would you guys recommend to get a lift and bigger tires?

Sorry I don't have any info on the lift, but have you looked at the Ridge Grapplers? More of an all-around tire that's easy to live with if you daily it.

Skip anything from Ready Lift for your Raptor. They are not a Raptor knowledge company. You do not want to add top spacers and 4” blocks to any truck, especially the Raptor. You do not have any options for wheels, tires and a lift for only $2K, so I suggest waiting until you have enough for a proper setup.

Do some research on this site for perch lifts, springs or King shocks for the front and Deaver +3s or Icons leafs for the back. There are several combinations that will allow you to run 37s.

do front springs eibach or geiser (i'd go gieser) and deavers or icon leafs in the rear you'll get the slight lift.

for tires rigged grapplers or KM3's is what id go. for 37s i believe you'd need to do some cutting (i don't own a gen2 so don't quote me on that) but a M/T tire in a real 35 will probably give you the look you want. do a search on gen 2 and 37's and then 35s with spring and deavers they look great but its some work to fit 37's that you may not want to do to your brand new ride.

Lifts and raptors mix about as well as mayo and watermelon, just dont lol you wear more parts out faster and ruin the ride quality

I got my eibach springs, didn't need a progressive spring like geisers, for 200, about a 2.75 in front lift. Got my icon multirate rear leafs for a little under 1200 which lifts the rear about an inch, and I'm running atturo trail blade xt tires for 800, 35x12.5/17, ive been pretty happy with them for a daily tire that I use in the snow off road. It's a little over your 2k but not by much and has made a night and day difference in both my on and offroad experience. Hope this helps!

So I went in to 4 Wheel Parts store here in Dallas yesterday. They advised to just get a Daystar 2" leveling kit and run some 35s on it. Thoughts on this set up? Definitely keeps me in budget if I stay on my factory 17s

Run, don’t walk, away from their store. At a minimum run the Eibach coils up front. The stock tires are 34.4” tall, a 35x12.5R17 Nitto Trail Grappler is 34.84” tall.

I would get the 37” tires you really want and do the appropriate mods to safety put them on your $70K truck. You’ll be over budget by probably $1500, but buy once cry once.

I might see the 35s making sense, I agree though run away from that store as fast as you can. Let them ruin someone else's truck. I'd say IF you were dead set on perch collars at least get something like icon or rpg. Daystar sounds like some fly-by-night led headlight company.

Sorry to have to say this about another company you tried, but the young kids over at 4 wheel parts are also clueless about Raptors. Daystar is the same idea as ReadyLift in how they use blocks on top, rather than underneath, like a Perch kit. I asked 4WP about their experience with Deavers, and they recommended 4” blocks under my Raptor factory leafs “to maintain the ability to tow”. I laughed and walked out the door, never to return.

Dallas has one of the best Raptor shops in the country, so I recommend stopping by Texas Motorworx and getting ideas from them. They can do mild to wild, so do not be intimidated by their website pictures. They will gladly tell you what you can do within your stated budget of $2K. (Your options will be limited, but they can walk you through the choices)
