There is no damage to the brake line, its configured that way, i will post pics whenever i get my truck back. But when u see the pics, its completely clear from everything else, its just rubbing against that clamp...jeeps had a similar issue but they addressed it with a recall.
Turn your steering wheel all the way to the left, follow the brake line that cones from the passanger side engine compartment to a connecting point that your brake lines attatch to. You will see that one of the alum lines are right by what seems to be an axle boot? But there is a metal clamp to secure that boot that rubs right against it.
I am still waiting on my truck, they gave me no info at all as to what they will or will not cover.
they did identify a crack in the condensor from what they told me, which is totally different from what they mentioned in Vegas. i looked at the crack, and i dont see signs of a rock that could have it it in that location, its like a horizontal crack. the end of the condensors are plastic, which is beyond me why they are plastic, but they are. i am not sure if it is a stress crack or whatever the case is, i have yet to hear back if this is even covered. I a, done with this warranty bull**** with this truck, i dont have enough hands or toes to count how many times i have brought this truck in for problems. this was a normal road trip...and unless it was the magic bullet that killed kennedy, i dont know how that crack could have occurred.
they also tried installing another TSB for my tranny? i still get that sledge hammer effect when it shifts, and they didnt tell me anything on my brake line.
i am torn on keeping this truck, i need something dependable and safe, especially with my new family addition coming into the scene. i always thought this truck will be more dependable than my previous F150, but im starting to think otherwise.
Thank you for the kind words, and congrats on your retirement! i cant wait for the day to say i am retired, and done..till then its the grind.
