2018 Supercrew with new Fox Factory 3.0’s all around… but still wheel hopping way too much!

Leafs: planning on Deaver SD +3” (if extended shackles) for +0” raise. +2” if extended shackles don’t help achieve full wheel travel… more discussion below.

Shackles: Do +2” extended shackle add any wheel travel??? …during shock install I realized the rear is limited to about 12” (not 14” as advertised) by the stock leaf setup and had to use a can jack to stretch out free-hanging suspension enough to get shocks in/out. Which extended shackles work with Deavers best (no frame scrapping preferred)?

Bumps: I would like the option to stick with the stock bumps in the interim, but would like the option to add hydro bumps later. So what do I need to install when the Deavers go in because I can see that the stock 2” riser blocks have the bump mount built in.

Any other hardware I need for the Deaver install?

You need trac bars or torque arm for wheel hop. Deavers help, but will not eliminate.

What size tires are you running? 35s? +2 Deavers remove the factory block and you do now need a rear shackle. +3 Deavers and you will need a 1" drop shackle.

You can run this bump stop relocation kit.

I ran Icons with 1" drop shackle, SVC bumper stop, King bypasses and SVC Track Bars. Zero wheel hop on 37s.

Appreciate the advice! Running stock tire size.

I’m inclined to just go for hydro bumps now because I’ll have to add that lower plate later anyway according to the SVC install video so I’d rather do it in one go. Also saves $120 now on those pucks …now that I know id have to buy them .

Sounds like I must buy new shackles either way if I’m putting in Deavers? I was hoping they’d work with the stock shackles…

Speaking of buying things I wasn’t aware of …now I might be needing a traction bar purchase as well lol! I’ll do some more research on those in the forums before pulling the trigger.

Thank you!

FWIW, trac bars do not limit rear travel.

Sweet setup man, SVC bars? I like that they don’t hang down nearly as far as the gen3 links as well. Any other tradeoffs to note on traction bars?

How you liking the SVC adjustable bump kit with 2.5” diameter (beautiful blue) King bumps? I like the adjustable feature but am looking at 2.0” diameter foxes instead because I’m not planning to mash hard since I’ve usually got my wife and two little dudes in the back 4-wheeling through CO mountain trails… unlike my younger days romping through the Ocotillo/Superstition desert and Mexico supporting my class 7 Toyota buddy in my ‘98 +4.5” over A-armed leafed ranger with custom valved Kings (pic below, and shout out to Brett King for all the help on that setup!). I miss that ol 4-bangin ranger

Makes good sends for that sweet bed cage setup. I’ve got to keep the bed usable for camping, diaper changes… all that fun stuff haha

So, new shackles are required when adding Deavers? If so, is it better to go with the extended (plus 1” lift leafs to offset height change) for any ‘real’ reason from what you guys have seen?

RPG advertises the extended version to ‘Allows leaf springs to have more articulation/droop travel’ but don’t know if I believe the hype or not… thoughts guys?
