I just called and it still DOES NOT WORK with factory front camera.

Tony: "we are expecting an update to all anytime front camera shortly"

Me: "is there a time frame?"

Tony: "we are working on engineering time frame, not set schedule for release"

Me: "thank you"

Tony: "you could always install aftermarket front camera, and it will work with our system"

Lenny said it would work. However, you need a professional installer in order to force front camera. I spoke with LockPick and they told me that they have a new system in the works that might allow front camera. The guy told me to call in 2 weeks. I'll let you guys know

thanks humvee!

now has anyone used nav-tv before. is it anygood, any bugs?

I did some substantial research in the past when contemplating LockPick vs NavTV. From my past research, I have found LockPick to be the superior product. I have read that NavTV's product is buggy and has many issues. I cannot speak from first hand experience, but that is just what I have read. However, Lenny has been doing a great job over at the Z... So things might have changed when I researched this topic a little while ago.

I hated the Nav-TV. Talk about wearing out the steering wheel controls plus you can't use the DVD feature with the GPS at the same time. It is one or the other. Get the Lockpick.

SPRSNK, do you mind elaborating on the wearing of the steering controls? Does NavTV require excessive use of the controls? I'm just a little confused since LockPick also uses the steering wheel controls. Thanks in advanced

Yes, it requires extensive use of the steering wheel controls. What annoyed me just a little more than that was the fact you could not use the GPS and the DVD player at the same time. To me that is stupid because when I use the DVD player, I am listening to the player and driving. Every once in awhile I flip to the Nav to see how many miles till something, or where I am ect then flip back to the movie or TV series. I do this all the time in my F350 and have for years. The steering wheel controls are going out on it too just from normal usage.

Very interesting information SPRSNK. Thanks for revealing some of the operational nuances.
