I got mine in the mail today! Thanks Noah. Hopefully I can tear into it this weekend...we'll see.

I just happen to be installing my new '13 HID Retrofit's from Dawson too. Raptor mod weekend between the kids and wife's parties, sports, etc.

My box was missing a couple items and Noah is taking care of me. Just should have checked before tearing my dash apart. doh :Pshyco:

Couple questions on the install that would help me and others...

Where are you grounding the black wire from the GPS antenna relay?

Where and what rubber grommet on the firewall are you going through? There is like a dome one with the trucks wiring harness and then there is a small one with one cable going through it. Got a pic of the grommet you're going through?

the ground wire for the gps antenna can go to chassis. or the ground wire from the radio harness.
for the passing of the wires, use that little bubble on the topside of the grommet.

Installed my Nav-TV yesterday. Pretty straightforward and worked the first time out of the gate. Thanks for the YouTube videos Noah, those helped a lot tearing apart the dash!

not a problem. im glad you had a successful install. how long did it take you?

i should mention quickly. these new units dont have the antenna break relay. i think there has been a modification to no longer need that part.

It took me about 2.5 hrs but could have been a lot quicker if I didn't go back and check my wiring 3 times lol. I thought the hardest part was going to be tearing apart the dash but that was pretty quick.

its not as bad as what people think it is right? i tear apart vehicles all day long, so i cant really compare with most others, but knowing that it took less than an afternoon for you to do it seems like others shoulg give it a try. good job on the install

You are 100% correct. I was nervous when I opened the box and saw the tangled mess of wires but once I took a step back and looked through everything (and watched your videos) it was all good. Definitely a manageable install for anyone with even the slightest electrical knowledge.

Oh and btw, just to reiterate a warning you have said in the past, the trim scuffs VERY easily. So anyone attempting this needs patience lol
