in about 45 minutes it will be ready. finally had time to figure out why audio wasnt working correctly. kinda like those old asian movies where you see their mouth moving and then 5 seconds later the words finally made it out.......

also blame tbone. he came in the shopt today when i was working on the video and i had to install a unit in his truck.....

sorry for the delay everyone. here is the video. its still being fixed by youtube, but here is the link. a couple things i didnt mention, when removing the airbag, i used a putty knife and pried on the side of the airbag cover to release the plastic clips holding it in place. also, there was a small mistake that i had to go back and correct. instead of deleting it out, i figured i would show you that even professional installers make mistakes. and lastly, i used velcro to hold the unit in place, just like icecobras truck. its on the carpet behind the panelon the drivers side.i noticed that being in that spot is good for 2 reasons. first, its easy to access if you need to reset or update the module. and second, being on carpet and secured by velcro, that additional cushion helps with severe offroading bumps and jolts. if you have any questions fire away. i am familiar enough with these units and our trucks that i should be able to answer any questions you might have

i did not show the front camera wiring since i dont have one, and because we already did it on icecobras truck. this didnt change from last years truck. also, im no pro at making videos, so unfortunately this is all i got. i hope this helps you out

Nice... I stopped right where the airbag removal part was, glad it's easy to take out. I pulled a little and you really do have to be careful or you'll scratch your dash.

Thanks Busa, the 13 seems more involved, not so plug and play (plug and pray) .

it took me an hour and a half from start to completion. including my small mistake and recording the video. it will probably take an additional 30 minutes if you are wiring the front camera

Well, got around to installing the unit and still have the front camera to go but it works as advertised for 2013. Took me longer than what I would say is norm but I'm somewhat retentive with fit and finish. Still have putting the dash back together and tapping into the front camera wires for tomorrow. I do wish it was more plug and play but can't really complain.

My suggestion for this install is to watch the videos nosbusa posted first and really pay attention to the installation diagram for the VIM CAN wire pins. It's a little confusing at first but works out with a little beer... erm, brain power.

Very cool turning on the camera whenever I want though I don't see the rear being all that useful unless I'm towing the trailer down the road or want to see that dodge trying to keep up. Now the front one, that will be super helpful just with parking alone...

you got the hard part done. the wiring of the front camera is the easy part. just dont put the vehicle back together until you tested everything. i have done that too many times to remember. get the vehicle back together and i forget to wire something in......
