Susanne, should I expect the same firmware issues since my truck is a 2011? I really don't want to tear my dash apart to install this thing and then have a bunch of issues.

Take your Nav+ out of the box then call tech support. They will walk you through upgrading your firmware if needed. We had to give them my name and the serial number on the Nav+, they looked it up and then had it us do the firmware upgrade. You need a computer and internet to upgrade firmware. (I say us because my installer always comes to my shop/mancave to do anything, so I am there doing other things, but paying half attention to what is going on with the install).

Tech support was outstanding btw. The Tech on the phone even gave my installer his personal cell phone number to get ahold of him after hours. 2 thumbs up for Nav+ Tech support.

Open invitiation for anyone in my area. My installer charges 40/hr for coming to my shop to do installs. If you want to bring your truck over, feel free.

SPRSNK,

Thank you for posting the update. At this time I am going to recommend everyone calls tech support to upgrade their allsync before they install it. Tech will check everything via the serial # and advise you if it needs to be updated. Guys I am sorry for the inconvenience but as you can see me and my company are on top of it, and will help you anyway we can. Thanks

Thanks for the heads up on the update. I'm picking my truck next week! I'll be sure and post up my findings as well...

Susanne,
I think I remember talks about doing a video on how to install the system. Did that ever surface? I just moved and don't have any installers I trust so I was considering doing this myself.

Thanks!
