I might stop by depending on how long the Line-X application takes this AM.

Man that thing is big. I'm just dreaming thinking it's going to fit in my garage, huh? Very nice Vash. Enjoy.

I'm thinking Vash is rather small?? Do tell?

Here's a CC backed up to a SC, (Carter and BARC)

Nice. I really like the way the CC looks there. It's weird... Some pictures I don't like it as much as the SCAB, and some I love it and think it looks meaner.

Thanks for everything Randy. I'm looking forward to meeting you Wednesday. Present vehicle is sold and gone tonight, so I'll be disgracefully chaffeured around by my wife in her new Odyssey minivan for the next two days. I'm going to need a testosterone injection by Wednesday.

Well the truck is big, but I am also small so that increases the effect. I'm only 5' 6". My dad, however, who's 5' 11" agrees that the truck is big and it definitely dwarfs his 2007 Avalanche which isn't exactly small.

In fact, I have to park the truck diagonally in my garage for it to fit with the garage closed. The garage is just a few inches too short. My house was built in '05. I have no idea why the heck they are making newer houses in Oklahoma with garages that are so damn small especially considering how many people drive trucks in this area. Well, I'm off my soapbox now.

Also, to update on my Bakflip F1 issue. I called truckchamp.com today since I ordered from them and they did a conference call with Bak Industries and new rails are being shipped out today. Guessing this was a packing mistake as the box had the correct part number and the actual cover measured 66" when I laid it out on the floor.

BTW, why does the weather have to suck so much since I've got my truck home finally.

Prayers out to those in Joplin, MO and any other areas that got hit with tornadoes last night.

My truck is hiding in the garage until all these chances for large hail go away.

Been meaning to post more pics of the Raptor for a while. Just a few basic mods for now. Had it since 20 MAY 2011 and just about to cross over the 1k mile breakin period. These pics are at my parents' house the day I claybarred and waxed the truck for the first time.

  1. Stubby Antenna
  2. 3M FX Premium 30% tint over factory tint on front windows for overall light transmission of ~ 28%.
  3. Line-X Premium Spray-on Bedliner
  4. Bakflip F1 Toneau Cover
  5. 3M Ventureshield (aka. Clear Bra) covering all painted surfaces on front of truck.
  6. DBS Bugscreen. Keeps bugs from getting stuck on and/or denting the front of the radiator.
  7. Ford locking gas plug to keep dirt/debris away from the capless fuel filler.
  8. Proclip USA custom GPS mount for my old Garmin Nuvi 350.

Looks good Vash! My Bakflip and wheels should be in early this week. Already installed the stubby, tint, flaps, Line-X, and thanks to Randy's suggestion, peeled off those ridiculous warning stickers on the visors and removed the glue with Goof Off. We'll be ready to go next Caffiene and Gasoline.:party28:

By the way, mind if I ask where you got your clear bra and how much. I was quoted $600!

I should definitely be good to go for the next C&G. For the clear bra and tint it was about $388 after tax from Auto Distinctions in Tulsa. They did an awesome job. Only part that didn't stick well was the inset cutouts in the bumper. J.P. Johnson applied everything on my truck. The breakdown before tax is about $300 for the clear bra and $80 for the tint. He covered the front portion of my hood and all the other forward facing surfaces of the front fenders, bumper, and skidplate. He used a matte film on the bumper and skidplate to prevent changing the appearance. Everything else was the standard gloss clear. To fix the areas around the bumper cutouts I just took a razor and trimmed out the corners so the material didn't have to stretch into the corner radius. Sticks fine now.

Some people have the quarterpanels behind the tires covered and that could raise the price. J.P. was very thorough and worked on my truck from 8AM to maybe 12:30PM. I just watched since I had nowhere to go since I came down from Bartlesville.

BTW, Auto Distinctions was the nearest 3M certified installer for Ventureshield which is the formal name for the clear bra product. I found them through the 3M website.

Did you call Outlaw Kustomz to see if they applied that clear bra? I know they have TONS of 3M stuff they use. My matte on my hood and strips came from them and its 3M
