Maybe the dealer could do a little research and locate the previous owner and find something out for you.

Those look exactly like the buttons Baja Designs supplies with their strobing light bars. Turn on your light bar, push and hold the button for at least 3 seconds (might be +5?). Your light bar should begin flashing if that's how they wired it up. If that doesn't work, I'd start following wires, but that seems the most logical option to me.

Well, did you figure it out? Get your wife/GF/SO to look at the front of the truck while you push/hold/try those buttons

If they are momentary switches they could be for an electronic tonneau (Pace Edwards), one to open one to close.
If that is the case, the wires should terminate on the back wall of the bed driver side.

You can also look around the bed rail to see if there were clamps for the tonneau to clue you in.
