I like Bimmers. I used to have an M5 with a manual trans and some Dinan and Hamann mods. Got it up to 170mph once. My brother just got rid of an '08 M3 that he modified some and it drove great. He also currently has a track car that started out as an old e30 3 series, but he gutted it, caged it, did suspension, brakes, racing mods, etc and dropped an LS1 Corvette motor in it. He's beat new Z06's on the track in races with his Frankenstein Bimmer.

bmw makes good cars when it comes to performance, however, since my job requires dissassembly of vehicles i see things other people dont see. i have no problem with them as a vehicle, what my issue is, what were they thinking when they designed some of the stuff. pulling the front and rear bumper off of an r8 is easier than a bmw. pulling door panels shouldnt be rocket science. replacing rear speakers in a newer coupe. these are just some of the things that i think were over engineered. they spent so much time and money designing the vehicle that they didnt really put a lot of effort into the "what if's"
and thats why they are so expensive to work on. it take a whole lot of time to strip the vehicle because everything is so complicated.

Shelby! That's a perfect compliment to the raptor...at least that's what I am doing. Although as someone else said, the 5.0 is tough to beat when it comes to bang for the buck! Plus you wouldn't feel quite so bad about putting some serious miles on a regular mustang gt.
