I am curious as to what you guys are spending per month? Or is this to nosey of a question for you guys... I figured this is a good place to ask, and sorry if its in wrong section of the forum as I am learning how to use this website.

I am buying a 2012 in 2 months and trying to figure out if I can afford it monthly because in Wa. State you must also buy Full Coverage Insurance on a new vehicle until it's paid off, which is not cheap for a mid 20s male in a Raptor with a history of tickets. So I am wondering if they are trying to take advantage of me or not, thanks...

My truck is a blue flame supercrew with the luxury pack and navigation.

damnit, that sounds similar to mine! Did you get Fr/rr cameras?

I got a blue flame supercrew with lux package, nav, fr/rr cameras, hood decal, basically everything BUT moonroof and bed graphics.

Better figure it out before you buy it lol. I'm planning on 20k down, paying the tax/title/reg, and financing the rest, and hoping for around 600 or less/mo payment.

Also, I don't think they're trying to take advantage of you making you get full coverage insurance, you're an absolute idiot if you DON'T get full coverage (I thought all states required it for new vehicles?). Without full coverage all it would take is 1 small accident doing several grand in damage, coming out of your pocket, and there would have been several years of insurance payments. I'd even keep full coverage after its payed off, unless you've got money out the ***** where it some other idiot smacks into you, or you mess up and total your truck, you can afford a total loss.

I've never seen anywhere that doesn't require full coverage on a financed vehicle. It's the lien holder that requires the full coverage, not the state. The lender wants to make sure their property (it's theirs, not yours, until you pay it off) is safe. If you were to purchase a brand new vehicle and pay for it in cash instead of finance it, you could insure it however you want, as long as you meet the minimum state requirements (usually called liability).

That being said, I don't have my 2012 yet and my insurance agent was only able to ballpark it when I got a quote since 2012s weren't in the system, but I'm looking at ~$90 per month. That's for fairly large full coverage numbers (exceeding the lien holder requirements), uninsured motorist, $0 comprehensive deductible (free glass replacement!), etc. I'm 33, married, with a clean driving record.

I moved here from WA. Insurance was slightly cheaper in WA.

Not sure if that helps, but there ya go. :waytogo:

Heh heh. Dude, your posts are getting more retarded every day. Keep up the good work and don't ever change!

Don't worry "Sword Wolf"....I won't. Now go hunt down some more swords to slobber on--now *** off.

PS-congrats to NATE2631 who just found out from SVT that his 2012 Raptor is being scheduled for delivery 11/11.
