my theory on why 2014 production has been suspended......

My new Raptor was built on 2/29/14 and arrives 4/1/14, so I'm a happy camper! The salesman told be this new build on the factory line includes Fox shocks with the new QAB adjustment knobs, a Ford Race Series frame support and bump stops, and an OEM cold air intake.

Mine better include all of that plus the Whipple my saleslady said it comes with

She was referring to the procedure to remove cancer from the pancreas, often caused by stress from waiting too long. It's a Whipple (or pancreaticoduodenectomy).

this is just my theory no facts behind it so don't flame me. Opinions solely of the poster.....


so some dealers i have talked to during my search have said that they are on a "commodities" hold so that production is slow to stopped for now on Raptors. Basically they said they are missing a part to finish off the Raptor so it is holding up production.

My thinking is that FORD has good control of supply of "in house" parts. What they dont have as much control of are parts from outside suppliers like FOX. So I think a shortage of FOX shocks is holding up production. Now here is where it gets interesting. FOX is backed up because they are busy getting production up for 2015 RAPTORS!!!!

BigBOSS - I had my truck at Five R Trucks this week getting my LCAs and dual front shocks installed. They had two other Raptors there on the lifts. One was a 2014 SE Ruby Red, getting every upgrade available - Roush supercharger included. The Ruby Red is very nice, and the bed graphics are cool too. The interior is sweet. This one had the flares, grille, and everything else paint matched.

You will be happy with the 2014 SE when it arrives!

Besides, 2/29/14 doesn't exist, so you're real Raptor is better than my second imaginary Raptor.

Build

Mine was built on 02/28/2014, Friday, the next Monday they said it was in transit to my Dealer in Fort Worth, TX, today two weeks later they said its in Indiana, two weeks to go next door, I got four or five States left. I don't believe production has stopped that BS. Ill call SVT tomorrow and ask. And post, they have helped me follow my truck on its Epic journey to Indiana
