goin ******* on ur ass
I just cannot understand the excitement about these effin projector headlights. I have them on the Volvo I drive and I can't see jack ****** scubuttle. I'm about ready to get some old style 7" rounds and duct tape em to the fenders so I can see at night. Oh hell on a rainy night, with new Black asphalt I'm better off to pull it over n sleep till day time

Ok Rant over

Don't blame not being able to see on the headlights, you are just old!

Dont confuse these with a OEM projectors bro. Unless your driving a high end Lexus or Acura TL you will not come close to the performance of a aftermarket projector.

Lol, scroll back through the pictures and maybe familiarize yourself with them.

Back on topic..
So after the first two days of rain, I noticed one headlight with condensation. I'm now pulling it off and going to see my next move. It's not bad but all in all, still a pita! LoL the worst part about a project is running into the problems rite, lol. The second headlight we were a little rough with it and bent out the plastic backing when it was hot more than I should have. Wish I could find just a passenger side head so I can do an easy swap. Remove the buckets and use the backing, ect....

DUCATI: what's an easier way you found when removing after u would use butyl when sealing? Or you don't use butyl? The microwave might be able to get the tad bit of condensation that came through the spot I'm thinking of so I might not have to RESEAL again but just in case

If you sealed the butyl up right that shouldnt be your problem. I would check the back where the wires come out, how did you seal that ?

If you need to take it back apart just heat sections with a heat gun and separate.

I'll give it a shot. I have the heat gun and I seen on the side where literally a drop came in if that. Just enough to fog. I got my shop vac out and blew/sucked the air out threw a bulb hole. Now, im going to see what this heat gun can do for me! I'll let you know. Fingers crossed!

Looks like I'll be good. W asnt bad after all. What it was is the electrical tape I put around was binding up bc I used 1piece going all around the light therefor causing the bind to slowly pull at the stuck on butyl causing the bad seal at the bottom where there was a lot of curves in the assembly. FYI duc- WD-40 works great for breaking up the butyl stuck on surfaces. :)

Butyl caulk........aaahhh haaaa, gotcha! Maybe another future retro ill remember that. Does that butyl caulk dry sticky like this butyl rubber "ribbon sealer"? ....... i have to admit though, I did do an astounding job man! My next door neighbors that was watching me through the process loves the upgrade I did and I get compliments everywhere! Get to see your money well spent every night with lights
