We do obviously, its just a light hearted conversation about nothing important. So what do you do North of the border?

I just thought it was common knowledge that Raptors do not fit in automatic car washes. It states this in the manual so I hand wash using the two bucket method.

Do not believe everything you read. lol

Ha... point taken. I realize my post was *******. Totally out of character. Apparently touchless carwash is the way to go to avoid surface scratches.
I never handwash my Golf R although the detergents they use are pretty hard on finishes.

As long as you get your truck car detailed twice a year. Good coat of wax , etc its ok to take it to a carwash. Time is money in my world. Just do not have the patience or time to wash my truck. I like it clean so at the rate of every 2 days, it works out great for me. Also winter time, **** no, thank you but no thank you. Not freezing my ass off on my driveway.

I've had good luck with a local touchless carwash (Alaska Laser Wash). It's one of those carwashes without any wheel guides. You just pull up and stop and the carwash does its thing. I have noticed that because the truck is so wide, the sprayer doesn't hit the middle of the vehicle when applying soap.

Depends entirely on the design of the car wash. I wouldnt take mine through a ****** gas station wash. But the wash I have a membership to (Jazz in CO) fits my Gen 1 with Methods and the hand detailers do a decent job. Maybe 8/10 vs a 90 minute hand wash done by yours truly. I dont always have time to hand wash, and half the year is winter, so...
